It has been a month going to Dr. Marsillo, and my neck and shoulder pain that bothered me for months have disappeared. Dr. Marsillo has treated two of my children for spinal alignment issues with great success. My daughter has a slight curvature of her spine which threw off the alignment of her hips and legs and caused her discomfort when she played sports. Dr. Marsillo adjusted her alignment over a series of weeks and now she is running pain free. Dr. Marsillo has also greatly helped my son who broke his L5 a couple of years ago and continued to suffer back and neck pain. Sciatic pain is probably the most painful and debilitating pain you can undergo. It comes on unexpectedly and is difficult to relieve. I have recently experienced such pain. I called my Family Practitioner asking him for an appointment and what he could do to help. His answer was that there was really nothing that could be done and the only recourse I had was to “wait it out!” Not satisfied with that alternative and remembering years ago I had lower back pain and had called a Chiropractor for help, I contacted Robert Marsillo DC in Darien. After an evaluation he proposed a series of three visits per week and began treatment. Within three weeks the pain was completely gone. After each session I noticed a marked improvement but never quite expected the complete return to freedom from pain . I expect to go on a maintenance program in order to build the strength in the components so that the pain will not return. 8 weeks ago I was ready to go get an MRI, a CAT scan, or whatever medical tests necessary to find out what was causing my excruciating back pain. Fast forward 8 weeks – I am virtually pain-free thanks to Dr. Marsillo. I met Dr. Marsillo 15 years ago when I suffered headaches – he cured them completely. I saw him randomly over the years when I had a few aches and pains-he always, successfully, relieved the pain. In fact, Dr. Marsillo got me through a very rough twin pregnancy 6 years ago – he saw me the day before I delivered two 6 lb boys and had gained 85 pounds! In my late 40s, an all-to-frequent flyer, I was diagnosed with an L4-L5 herniated disc. My fear was that my twice-weekly ice hockey game with my buddies was over. Of course I was in pain, taking lots of strong pain medication just to get through the day. Sitting for extended periods of time was a challenge. After his diagnostic review, Dr. Marsillo provided customized exercises and stretches while he began the process of adjusting my back and helping me to build up core strength.
